Event Description
|
An attempt was made to use one nc sprinter rx ptca balloon catheter to treat a lesion.It was reported that when the balloon catheter was inserted into the heart vessel it could not be expanded.Upon inspection, a partial rupture at the junction of the balloon catheter shaft was observed.The balloon catheter was subsequently removed.No patient injury was reported.
