Event Description
|
It was reported that the patient underwent the second stage of the deep brain stimulation (dbs) implant procedure where the implantable pulse generator (ipg) and extensions were implanted.After the physician have completed suturing the skin, the patient went into cardiac arrest.Chest compressions were performed, and the patient immediately underwent a cardiac procedure and admitted to intensive care.The physician assessed the event to be not related to the device, but potentially related to the anesthesia.The device remains implanted in the patient.
