Event Description
|
Information was received from a patient (pt) regarding an implantable neurostimulator (ins).The reason for call was pt said a couple of days ago they noticed their parkinsons symptoms returned.Pt said it appears their stimulator has stopped working.Pt confirmed they have been using their charging equipment and done on ok checks as they normally do their ins is on/ok their ins battery level was 50%.During the call pt used their programmer to check and confirmed their ins was on/ok their battery level was 75%.Pt said they have had no falls or traumatic accidents but did have an un-related chest cat scan on friday night.The issue was not resolved.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.To report and resolve the issue.

Event Description
|
Additional information received from the consumer reported the circumstances that led to the implant stopping working was due to an increase in their tremor level, so the implant needed to be adjusted.To resolve the issue the implant was reprogrammed along with a medication increase.
