Event Description
|
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for gastric stimulation.The reason for call was the patient stated their enterra "died" "almost a month ago".Patient said that their hcp office is not receiving any information from manufacturer regarding when a rep can be present for replacement surgery.Additional information was received from the patient.It was reported that the cause of the enterra device which was reported to have died remains unknown.It is unknown if it was normal battery depletion.Patient inquired if their gastric stimulator could cause an interference with their insulin pump.It was also reported that device removal was possibly going to occur (b)(6) 2023.
