Event Description
It was reported that an attempt was made to use an in.Pact admiral to treat a calcified plaque lesion in the center superficial femoral artery.Degree of tortuosity was mild. degree of calcification was moderate.Balloon was inflated with a inflation device.Device was prepped per ifu.The device did not pass through a previously-deployed stent.Excessive force was not used.It was reported that a balloon rupture occurred at nominal pressure.All fragments of the balloon were retrieved. contrast medium leaked during balloon inflation and rupture was confirmed. procedure completed by using another same size balloon.No patient injury reported.
