Event Description
It has been reported to philips that cardiac monitor having overheating issues.This report is based on information provided by philips repair service personnel and has been investigated by the philips complaint handling team.Philips received a complaint on the tempus pro indicating that back of unit got melted.Customer states the tempus pro had been used on several emergency and was sitting in the emergency vehicle with the back of the device against the tempus ls screen.Both the tempus pro and tempus ls had been on for over 3 hours.The complaint was escalated for technical investigation and the results indicate that the rear casing has warped and melted.From the testing detailed in the rdt report, it was concluded that the device was not the cause of the warped rear cover, and the root cause due to an environmental condition the unit was exposed to.Rear cover and printer kit got replaced (quest).Calibrated nbp and co2.Device functions are working correctly.The data entered in this complaint record will be utilized for product quality and safety improvements per the post market surveillance and risk management processes.The device was operational after repairs were completed.The investigation concludes that no further action is required at this time.
