Event Description
|
During preventive maintenance by a service technician this bio-console 560 instrument was unable to be switched on.This was detected during service so there was no patient involvement, so no adverse effect occurred.Medtronic received additional information that the bio-console instrument was not turning on when plugged into the power and when just using batteries.The instrument had not been used during the last year.The batteries had been installed for 2 years.Medtronic received additional information that the instrument had not been used on patients for years.The instrument was kept as part of the loaner pool of instruments.
