Event Description
|
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for gastrointestinal/ pelvic floor and urinary dysfunction/sacral nerve stim. The reason for call was that the patient indicated that they are not having any issues or return of symptoms and so the doctor is not wanting to do anything with it.The caller reported that they almost died when the device was implanted in 2014.They had sepsis and were sick because their bladder and colon was not working at all and they have fowler syndrome. There is no allegation about battery longevity, but reviewed the challenges surrounding a head mri, because they will not be able to communicate with the implant to show that it is off.Redirected to hcp.
