It was reported that during a procedure, a polarxfit catheter was selected for use.Phrenic nerve activity was monitored by palpation.During right superior pulmonary vein (rspv) cooling, palpation indicated decreased diaphragmatic movement; therefore, the cooling was discontinued.A single stop was performed first, and the balloon was deflated 5 seconds later. The ablation had been taking place in that location for 70 seconds when the complication occurred, there was possibility the catheter may have been placed deep in the pulmonary vein as the temperature was down to -65 degrees. No medical or surgical interventions were required. The patient will be under monitoring as the phrenic nerve had not been restored even after the procedure; the physician stated that it would return to its normal state after a while.Catheter is not expected to be returned.
