Event Description
Medtronic received information that 13 years and 2 months post implant of this 23mm aortic bioprosthetic valve, a transcatheter valve was implanted valve-in-valve.The reason for intervention was reported as a pseudoaneurysm just below or around the bottom of the aortic valve with a moderate perivalvular leak (pvl).It was also reported that one month previous, the patient was admitted for apvl plug procedure where a plug product of a different manufacture was implanted.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
