Event Description
It was reported to boston scientific corporation that a spaceoar device was implanted during a spaceoar placement procedure on (b)(6) 2023.After the hydrogel placement the patient experienced symptoms that appeared to be anaphylaxis, therefore, the patient was administered immediately and stabilized with adrenaline and steroids.The duration was unknown, but it appeared to be short term.It was noted that the patient was given with medication prior to discharge of the hospital.Due to the events was believed that the polyethylene glycol was the cause of the allergic reaction.The patient outcome was reported as no injury.
