Event Description
It was reported to boston scientific corporation that a spaceoar vue device was implanted during a spaceoar vue placement procedure under local anesthesia on unknown date.During the placement procedure, the applying physician felt resistance on the syringe and paused the injection.Approximately 2ccs of hydrogel were injected before the procedure was aborted.Magnetic resonance imaging (mri) was performed and showed some of the hydrogel in the correct location between the prostate and the rectum.There was infiltration of the hydrogel noted in the serosa with no muscularis infiltration.The patient is asymptomatic.
