Event Description
|
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system being used during a functional endoscopic sinus surgery (fess) procedure.It was reported that the localizer faulted during a case.The medtronic representative (rep) said they tried both their side and the flat emitter, but both of them showed the localizer faulted error.Medtronic navigation was aborted.The event caused a surgical delay of about 30 minutes.There was no impact on patient outcome.
