Event Description
|
A physician was attempting to use an in.Pact admiral balloon catheter for the treatment of a calcified plaque lesion with chronic total occlusion in the mid superficial femoral artery.There was moderate calcification and mild tortuosity.A non medtronic inflation device was used.The in.Pact admiral was prepped as per the ifu with no issues identified.It was reported at 14 atm a burst occurred. the device had not passed through a previously deployed stent and no resistance was met during advancement.A stent was placed to complete the surgery.No patient injury.
