This report is based on information provided by philips field service engineer (fse) and has been investigated by the philips complaint handling team.Philips received a complaint on the heartstart xl indicating that the paddle adapter was broken.The fse evaluated the device on site.It was determined that this was a malfunction of the tcp paddle which was replaced, and the device was returned to full functionality.The device remains at the customer site and no further evaluation is warranted at this time.Based on the information available and the testing conducted, the cause of the reported problem was a malfunction of the tcp paddle.The reported problem was confirmed.The fse replaced the tcp paddle to resolve the issue.It has been concluded that no further action is required at this time.If additional information is received the complaint file will be reopened.
