Event Description
It was discovered during product analysis for patient's device that was explanted for unknown reasons that patient was seen with low impedance.The lead was discovered to have abraded openings with fluid leaks.Other than the abraded ends and abraded opening on inner tube, the condition of the returned lead portion is consistent with conditions that typically exist following an explant procedure.The attending representative has reported that she received low impedance during pre-op several times which was the reason for the lead revision.The managing physician has responded that the reason for the full revision was at the discretion of the surgeon and provided date that low battery was seen on the device.No other relevant information has been received to date.
