Event Description
|
According to the reporter, during a laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair procedure, when the surgeon inserted the mesh, the valve seal came off the trocar hub.It was noted that there was a rapid loss of abdominal pressure.Hence, after the mesh was inserted, the surgeon reattached the seal to the trocar hub to resolve the issue in order to complete the case.There was no patient injury.
