Event Description
A journal article was reviewed regarding conduction system pacing in pediatrics and congenital heart disease.The authors described patients whose his-bundle leads exhibited increases in thresholds.Reprogramming occurred, and the leads remain in use.The article also reported study participants whose epicardial pacemaker lead experienced a fracture.Unknown intervention occurred, and the disposition of the leads is unknown.It was further noted that study participants had a cardiac diagnosis which included pacemaker induced cardiomyopathy.The status/disposition of the implantable pulse generators (ipg) are unknown.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
