A valiant captivia stent graft and an endurant cuff were implanted during the endovascular treatment of a 200mm type b thoracic dissection. It was reported that during the index procedure the valiant captivia stent graft was implanted. The proximal end of the valiant captivia was positioned with the posterior edge of the lsa to deploy the stent. The distal end of the valiant captivia was implanted with an endurant cuff as a restrictive stent.Intraoperative angiography showed a type iv endoleak.Post theindex procedure, the patient complained of chest pain.A repeat ct showed the persistent type iv endoleak and that the patient has developed a pleural effusion.Per the physician the cause of the endoleak was due to internal leakage of the covered stent. No additional clinical sequalae were provided and the patient will be monitored.
