It was reported that extension appears to be fractured. All impedances were out of range. The manufacturer representative (rep) was alerted by the healthcare provider (hcp) that impedances were suddenly out of range.Rep went and saw patient on interrogation of device one contact appeared to have normal impedances.Rep asked patient (pt) to move her right arm around a little.Rep then ran a second impedance measurement and at that point all impedances were out of range.During surgery hcp tried disconnecting device and reconnecting device.Rep ran impedance measurements to make sure they were still out of range. Then hcp did the same for the extension where it connects to the lead.Again rep ran impedance measurement and it was out of range. At that point hcp decided to drop a new extension and after connecting it all impedances were within normal range. patient described feeling tingling sensations in hand and stated the dbs system did not seem to be working anymore. She stated that it all started one day while she was shoveling snow. The issue was resolved.
