It was reported that on literature review "calcar preservation arthroplasty for unstable intertrochanteric femoral fractures in elderly", after a calcar preserving uncemented collared bipolar hip hemiarthroplasty using an echelon primary hip system, performed to treat an unstable intertrochanteric fracture, two (2) patients had superficial wound complications with drainage and delayed healing.This adverse event was treated with antibiotherapy.Patients outcome is unknown.No further information is available.
