Event Description
Information was received from a consumer via a manufacturer¿s representative regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for unknown indications for use it was reported that the recharger unit was faulty stating that it won't connect to recharge the battery.The recharger also won't connect to smart programmer using recharger app.They tried re-connecting without success in recharger app.The battery is deeper than preferred, however the replacement unit did connect with excellent connection as well as connecting to smart programmer in recharger app.Affected recharger will be returned.
 
Event Description
Additional information was received.The manufacturer representative (rep) reported that cause was unknown exactly.The patient has put on some weight since implant.However connection was made successfully and full recharging session carried out in clinic.If connection issues re-occur, may consider a battery resite if needed.However the patient is planning to lose weight.
