Event Description
|
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for urinary dysfunction/sacral nerve stim and gastrointestinal/ pelvic floor.It was reported that they met with a representative at the clinic ( patient stated they did not know the rep's name) who put them up to "program 12" and the patient stated they were surprised because they had no idea they could go beyond program 7 and that setting had been helping but last week they moved down to program 7 and now they wanted to try to go to program 11 but they couldn't find anything beyond program 7.Patient services tried to walk the patient through connecting to see if there were any additional programs available but the patient was only able to connect to see programs 1- 7 and it did not appear the patient had any further programs available.The patient stated they didn't know why the representative would have created programs and taken them away, the caller stated they were going to follow up with their managing health care.

Additional information was received from the patient.They reported that the cause of the setting lost was due to user error.The steps that resolved the issue was turning the unit on.
