|
A peritoneal dialysis (pd) patient experienced a breach in aseptic technique which resulted in "one to two" episodes of peritonitis.The breach in aseptic technique was further described not paying attention to hygiene.The patient hospitalization, treatment, patient outcome, action taken with pd therapy and patient retraining on the proper aseptic technique were unknown.The reporter declined to provide additional information.
