A philips remote service engineer (rse) spoke with the customer.Tests were performed using a simulator and it was identified that when the systole and diastole are set to the same value, the monitor cannot see any value because the line is flat. There is just a value of the mean pressure. That¿s why there is no alarm, because even if there aren't systole & diastole values, there is a mean value. The rse informed the customer that when the line moves and the monitor measures a similar systole/diastole value, there is no "art disconnected" sensor alarm because there is always an average value that is present.According to the documentation, the "art disconnected" alarm occurs only when non-pulsating pressure and average pressure consistently below 10mmhg.Based on the information available and the testing conducted, the device was functioning as intended and there is no malfunction on the device. The reported problem was not confirmed. The device remains in use at the customer's site.
