Event Description
Complainant alleged that while attempting to ventilate a 62-year-old male patient, the bottom of the device's display was black and clinical data was not legible.Complainant indicated that the clinician bag ventilated to continue treating the patient.Complainant indicated that there was no adverse effect to the patient due to the reported malfunction.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The customer's report was observed and attributed to the lcd display.The lcd display was replaced to resolve the report.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
