Event Description
It was reported that one hour post-procedure using a farawave pulsed field ablation catheter the patient experienced severe non-pleuritic central chest pain radiating to the jaw.Electrogram (ecg) changes were also observed. An echocardiogram that was performed had normal findings and showed no abnormalities in wall motion. The physician suspected coronary spasm at the time and administered glyceryl trinitrate (gtn) to the patient, but this resulted in headache and no pain resolution. The physician no longer believes the cause of the pain was coronary spasm. The pain settled within an hour and the patient made a full recovery. The device is not expected to be returned for analysis due to disposal.
