On 11-mar-2024, a spontaneous report from the united states was received via email regarding a male consumer (age not provided) who used a thermacare lower back & hip l/xl heat wrap.On an unspecified date in (b)(6) 2024, the patient applied a thermacare lower back & hip l/xl heat wrap to his lower back for pain while he played golf.After using the product for 4 hours, the consumer took the heat wrap off he realized that he had a burn.The consumer had been treated by a doctor at an outpatient urgent care facility.The consumer experienced a second-degree burn.The consumer did not see how long to have the product on.
