Event Description
The tip of the viperwire advance coronary guide wire broke off during an atherectomy procedure to treat a calcified lesion in right coronary artery (rca).Five treatments were performed and the tip broke during the sixth treatment.An attempt was made to remove the fragment with a snare.However, it was unsuccessful and the fragment about 25 cm length was left inside the patient.Ballooning was performed and proximal and mid rca were stented to complete the procedure.
