Event Description
|
Information was received from a manufacturer representative regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for gastrointestinal/pelvic floor therapy and fecal incontinence. It was reported that the hcp called the manufacturing representative (rep) to report that the patient's system had one electrode at greater than 40k ohms.Technical services (ts) reviewed with the rep that the hcp most likely saw greater than 4k ohms. The rep didn't know which electrode was had the open circuit.Technical services (ts) suggested increasing voltage and pulse width to test again.Ts also reviewed longevity and battery level, because the hcp said implant longevity calculation showed 108 months.Ts sent n'vision programming guide for interstim to explain how longevity is calculated. The caller was not with the patient.
