|
It was reported that there was evidence of exposure observed at the site of the left side sureteck burr hole cover accompanied by the discharge of serous material, leading to a decision to perform surgical cleansing.The deep brain stimulation (dbs) patient underwent surgical cleansing, and the site was re-sutured and advanced dressings were applied.It was later observed that the wound was exhibiting poor recovery.The dbs patient underwent a revision procedure where the left side dbs lead and burr hole cover were explanted.No signs of infection were noted post-surgery.The patient was doing well post-operatively.The explanted devices were discarded at the hospital.
