The reporter indicated that the surgeon implanted an implantable collamer lens of unknown model and size into the patient's eye on an unknown date.It was reported a patient presented with hyperopic refractive error (post evo spheric implantation) and concerned the lens was implanted upside down.Reportedly, " i'm not 100% certain that i implanted the icl upside down, but that was my initial assumption.I'll be seeing the patient back within another two weeks and repeat the anterior segment oct both undilated and dilated to try to figure this out.I do know this: i can't just let her go on with her current level of visual acuity, so upside down or right side up, it's likely coming out of her eye in the near future." to the best of our knowledge the lens remains implanted. No further information has been provided.Attempts to obtain additional information have not been successful. If additional information is received a supplemental medwatch report will be submitted.
