Event Description
Information was received from a friend/family member regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for urinary/bowel dysfunction and urge incontinence. It was reported that the patient has had chronic back and left leg pain since implant. The caller said that it seemed like the patient was pain free one day and then had pain the next day.The patient had back surgery in november and the leg pain started within days of implant.Patient was on the call as well and stated they had a resection surgery done on ins about a year after implant because ins was sticking out and getting caught on chairs.Patient also stated that their leg pain had started a few days before implant.Event date is unclear regarding when leg pain started.Caller stated they have tried making therapy adjustments and had ins off for a 48 hours and the pain did not resolve.Patient service specialist reviewed adverse events with the caller and redirected the patient to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.
