It was reported that nurse stated they have a patient cooling on the arctic sun device. The device alarmed 68 (non-recoverable system error).Nurse states they decided the issue was because the device was plugged into the bed. They unplugged it and moved it to a wall outlet. When turned it back on, the device alarmed the reservoir was empty.Nurse states they do not normally fill the reservoir themselves.Informed nurse if the device is turned off or unplugged without emptying the pads, the device is unable to detect the water in the pads and will alarm that the reservoir is empty. The device should always be plugged into a wall outlet.Had nurse clear the alarm and select current patient therapy.Had nurse empty the pads and then press start.Device alarmed 03 (water reservoir low), there is enough water to run one patient therapy.Informed nurse once therapy is completed, they would need to have biomed refill the reservoir.Encouraged nurse to call back with any issues.
