Event Description
It was reported that the pacemaker has a longevity of 10 years battery life and during the recent checked, it has 5 years approximation time to explant.Boston scientific technical services (ts) reviewed the latitude data and post implant was greater than 8 years which will be displayed within the first 7 days.The device will then have enough average power consumption values to display a projection.At the recent check, the atrial sensing was turned on which was likely causing the increased in power consumption.Currently, the power consumption was 55 micro watts with a 129 percent comparison.Ts discussed to consider turning the atrial sensing off to lower consumption and increase longevity remaining.As of this time, the device remains in service.No adverse patient effects were reported.
