Event Description
It was reported that the vns patient was hospitalized on (b)(6) 2014 due to an increase in seizures.The patient was seizure free for some time but began experiencing breakthrough seizures four months ago.The patient¿s device was tested and diagnostic results showed normal device function.The patient had not been taking her medication and it was noted that the patient¿s parent may not be providing effective oversight of the patient¿s treatment.The patient¿s medication noncompliance was believed to may be related to the increase in seizures.Attempts for additional relevant information have been unsuccessful to date.
