It was reported to boston scientific corporation that an rx cytology brush was used during an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ercp) procedure performed (b)(6) 2015.According to the complainant, during the procedure, the physician had difficulty advancing the device into the common bile duct.The catheter got bent and the brush could not be pushed inside the target site, so the device was removed from the patient.The procedure was completed with another rx cytology brush.There were no patient complications reported as a result of this event.The patient's condition at the conclusion of the procedure was reported to be fine.Should additional relevant details become available, a supplemental report will be submitted.
