Manufacturer Narrative
Hill-rom technical support paged a field technician at the request of the account. It is necessary for the progressa bed to have an effective maintenance program. We recommend that you do annual preventive maintenance.Examine the handles, cables, and cpr mechanism on the head motor.Make sure the screws are installed and fully tightened.Examine the condition of the two cpr release handles, cpr cable, and cpr mechanism on the head motor.Operate the head section to the high position, then engage one of the cpr release.Make sure the head section lowers.Adjust the cpr cable as necessary.Do the same tests on the other side of the bed.Release the cpr handles and make sure the mechanism locks correctly when you operate the head up control for a few seconds. The head section must rise.Replace the head section motor in the event of a malfunction of the cpr cable if broken.A search of the hill-rom maintenance records did not show hill-rom performed any preventative maintenance on this bed.It is unk if the facility performs preventative maintenance on their beds.No further info is available on the repair of the bed at this time. The investigation is ongoing, however if any additional relevant info is identified following completion of the investigation, the additional relevant info will be submitted in a supplemental report.
