Customer reported that they noticed patient results showed up in the lis (data management system) did not match the results printed on the instrument.Customer indicated that although patient sample was run on (b)(6), the results that crossed were from a sample dated (b)(6) in the instrument.Customer stated that after this event, they have been manually editing the patient results crossing to the lis system.There was no report of injury due to this event.

Siemens customer support engineer (cse) checked the instrument, backed up the unit setup and reinstalled the operating software.Cse verified the setup, ran quality control and two patients to verify proper communication with the lis.It passed.Reloading software resolved the customer's issue.
