It was reported that following an implantation of a monarc sling the physician noted that the sling "did not hold in patient tissue once set." the physician "closed the incision post implantation", then "checked the sling" and at that point the physician "thought something wasn't right with how it felt." the physician then stated that he "reopened the incision, tested the sling and it slipped right out." the mesh was removed at the time of surgery and was replaced with another monarc sling "successfully with no issues." there were no patient complications reported as a result of this event.
