|
Livanova (b)(4) manufactures the s5 roller pump.The incident occurred in (b)(6).This medwatch report is being filed on behalf of livanova (b)(4).Livanova replaced the touchscreen and the pump, and the unit has been returned to service.The touch screen was not returned for evaluation.Photos taken showed liquid penetrated into the flat cable and oxidation was visible.Root-cause was determined to be dried fluid present on the capton tail of defective touchscreen.A review of the dhr did not identify any deviations or nonconformities relevant to the reported issue.This is a known issue.Livanova (b)(4) has initiated capa (b)(4) for this type of issue.
