Event Description
A patient was undergoing exploratory surgery on (b)(6) 2016 to reinsert a lead pin to resolve high impedance (mfr.Report #1644487-2016-00651).The surgeon noted that there appeared to be bubbles/fluid in the outer tubing of the lead, but no entry point for the fluid was identified. The surgeon decided to leave the lead implanted because the impedance was within normal limits. The device history record of the lead reviewed, and the device conformed to all specifications prior to release. No surgical intervention has occurred to date due to the fluid in the outer tubing of the lead.
