A medtronic ent representative reported that, while in an ear, nose & throat (ent) procedure, a balloon sinus dilation, the axiem box was not working with the navigation system.When in the software, the emitter details showed both the emitter and axiem box as red and not communicating.In trouble-shooting, re-booted in multiple states of having the axiem box plugged in before/after re-boot and in different ports, however, that and other steps did not resolve the issue.The surgeon opted to abandon the use of the navigation system to continue the procedure to completion.Delay in therapy was 5 minutes.There was no impact on patient outcome.
