Event Description
During primary surgery, the femoral stem insertion the pommel tip broke off from the anthology hard stem inserter and stayed in the definitive femoral stem.The surgeon tried to remove the threaded tip but it was below the level of the top threads and wedged firmly in the femoral component.The decision was made to leave pommel tip in anthology stem and then used soft anthology impactor to finish impaction of femoral stem to correct level in femur.
