A livanova service representative was dispatched on site to investigate.The technician was able to confirm the reported issue.A shaft angle encoder error was identified as well as penetrated liquid under the front panel, which led to the reported malfunction.Furthermore, the sealing and the support plates were found being dirty.Consequently, the complete s5 control panel was replaced to resolve the reported issue.Subsequent functional verification testing was completed without further issues and the unit was returned to service.
