It was reported that, approximately one week after the implantation procedure, the implantable cardiac monitor (icm) patient's wound would not heal and ruptured.Additionally, two months after the implant procedure, the wound had not healed and an infection was suspected.It was reported that the patient's wound was painful.After explant, there was a "gaping hole" in the patient's chest that was "big as a silver dollar" and that the patient developed cellulitis.The patient was prescribed antibiotics and the device was explanted.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
