Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient implanted with a neurostimulator for urinary dysfunction/sacral nerve stimulation and gastrointestinal/pelvic floor.It was reported that the patient had problems with her bladder and had a return of symptoms.The patient stated that her device was not working like the trial.It was mentioned that the patient did feel stimulation but did not feel stimulation later that day and had not since the initial time.Trouble shooting attempts were made and the patient programmer showed stimulation was on and the patient had the ability to change programs and stimulation.The patient also reported seeing the poor communication screen but it was resolved by repositioning the patient programmer antenna and confirmed she was on program 1 at 0.7.The patient stated that they increased to 0.8 and felt stimulation and confirmed it was a comfortable stimulation.It was also stated that the patient did not know how to use her patient programmer.There were no further symptoms or complications reported or anticipated.
