Event Description
Information was received from a patient with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for the treatment of non-malignant pain.It was reported that something happened to the ins and it ¿seemed like the stimulation was on steroids.¿ the patient felt like it was electrocuting them or like it increased. The patient didn¿t know what caused it, but report that they had been stretching and snow blowing. The patient also reported that it felt like the stimulation was turning on by itself. The patient wanted to have their device checked, but their managing physician was 3.5 hours away and they wanted to meet with a manufacturer representative somewhere closer to home. The healthcare provider (hcp) reported that ins was not working and that it was a ¿serious problem.¿ no further complications are anticipated.
