Event Description
It was reported that during a lead extraction procedure the physician was unable to extract the right ventricular lead after lasing/mechanical tool use, so the decision was made to cut/cap the lead and leave a remnant of the lld device behind.The physician then switched to the contralateral (right) side and implanted a new icd system.The patient outcome was good.
