No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.The representative reported that the application software would not progress following a hard reboot of the navigation system.The representative was able to enter the spinal application software without issue.Re-installation of the cranial application software did not restore functionality.The representative then returned to the site at a later date and replaced the computer of the navigation system.The hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.The computer of the navigation system was returned to the manufacturer for evaluation.The device was found to be fully functional with no problem found.The reported event could not be duplicated by medtronic personnel.
 
Event Description
A medtronic representative reported that, while outside of a procedure, the application software of the navigation system became unresponsive while loading an exam.It was reported that the mouse cursor would not move.A second medtronic navigation system was brought in to complete the subsequent procedure.There was no patient present when this issue was identified.No additional information was provided.
